Whāia te mātauranga. We are learners and part of that means being on time and ready to start the day together. Be present, be punctual, be prepared.
We would like to remind all students to arrive at school on time and proceed straight to their form class when the first bell rings at 8:35am. Form Time begins at 8:40am, and it’s important that everyone is in class by then. A timely and settled start to the day supports a productive learning environment. Once Year 7-12 students have arrived at school in the morning, they must also stay on site for the day.
Thank you for your continued support.
Pink Shirt Day is the day Aotearoa comes together to take a stand against bullying. The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand has run the campaign since 2012, inspiring tangata to Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying.
The Student WAKA Team has been working hard to make this event a big success. There will be activities and prizes for Best Dressed Form Class and Best Dressed Individuals.
All funds from students’ gold coin donations for wearing non-uniform/ pink on the day will go to the Mental Health Foundation. There will also be eftpos machines for baking and donations, for anyone who would like to make a contribution.
Any whānau wishing to provide baking for the bake sale at interval and lunch in support of our fundraising, please email Mrs Jane Jarman; jjarman@kerikerihigh.ac.nz and drop off baking to Reception on Friday morning. Your support is greatly appreciated.
The PTA AGM will be held on Wednesday 2nd April at 7.00pm in the school staffroom and we invite new parents and caregivers to come along. All welcome!
We will be selling Pies ($4), Sausage Rolls ($3) and Juicies ($2) from the Tuck Shop at lunchtime over the next two weeks on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is a joint fundraiser for our Model United Nations, Mountain Biking, and UNISS Netball teams. Eftpos and cash sales will be available.
We welcome parents, caregivers, and students to attend the Kerikeri High School Parent and Whānau Feedback Evenings, to discuss your child's progress so far this year on Thursday 3 April and Tuesday 8 April, from 4.00pm - 7.00pm.

We look forward to welcoming you on either Thursday 3 April or Tuesday 8 April.
Our School Canteen is currently run by Libelle Group Limited; many will be aware they have recently gone into liquidation. Unfortunately, this impacts Kerikeri High School, and stock in the Canteen has effectively run out.
We anticipate our Canteen ceasing all service, possibly from tomorrow, and so we ask that all students bring morning tea and lunch to school until such time as we are able to start offering an onsite canteen service again.
Students will not be given permission to purchase food in town during the school day.
On Monday 3 March, the Student Council is organising a Non-Uniform Day. The Student Council represents all students and is involved in some school decision making and assists school-based groups with funding. Money raised from this day will go towards supporting student activities. We encourage students to wear non-uniform and make a gold coin donation.
