Intermediate Microsoft admin and support role in Kerikeri. Great environment, technically challenging, plenty of scope for learning.

Kerikeri High School operates a campus-wide network with a diverse mix of computers and devices, mainly Windows PCs, laptops and Chromebooks. There is a Microsoft AD/365 hybrid core with a mix of on-prem and cloud-based applications. There are approximately 1700 students, 200 staff, and 1000 network clients plus student BYOD. This is supported by a modern, structured network with school-wide Ruckus wifi.

Reporting to the ICT Manager, you will:

  • Monitor the software and security infrastructure, address problems and install updates as required.
  • Handle all user onboarding/offboarding and ongoing account administration for the School’s Microsoft environment and associated cloud-based applications.
  • Help provide end user support.
  • Help to plan and roll out development projects.

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused individual who takes pride in maintaining a tidy and efficient work environment. You’ll need:

  • Solid IT administration and support skills with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, 365, Intune, Defender, Windows and Office, preferably with Microsoft certifications.
  • A sound understanding of networking fundamentals including TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, VLans, wifi and firewall operation.
  • You need to be a NZ citizen or have NZ residency. You will be subject to NZ Police vetting.
