Wellbeing Counsellor
Start date: 20/04/2026
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Wellbeing Counsellor who can join our strong, professional Wellbeing Team and Pastoral network for a maternity leave contract.
Kerikeri High School is a strong, innovative, co-educational Year 7 to 13 School of over 1600 students. We offer a supportive and collegial workplace where positive relationships are considered paramount to the wellbeing and success of our students and staff. You will provide confidential support, respond to wellbeing needs and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
The role is a full time position, however part time will be considered for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who:
- is a member of (or eligible for membership of) NZAC or equivalent professional body
- has experience working with children and adolescents
- demonstrates strong communication skills and cultural responsiveness
- has a sound understanding of safeguarding confidentiality requirements
