Regular attendance is the key to engagement with learning, and there are very strong correlations between regular attendance at school and academic achievement. Please support your child by ensuring they are attending school regularly throughout the year.
All student absences should be accounted for and can be explained by parents and caregivers through the School App, by emailing attendance@kerikerihigh.ac.nz, phoning the school 09 407 8916 or using the Parent/Caregiver signin on FACTS.
If the student is likely to be absent longer than three days, we encourage parents to ring Reception or Te Puna Waiora. A doctor's certificate should be obtained for absences of more than three days.
Students must sign out at Te Puna Waiora if they leave during the school day for an approved appointment. They must have written permission. Similarly, they must sign in at Te Puna Waiora, with a note, if they arrive after 8.55am.
