Smokefree Rockquest Regional Finals

Over 30 Kerikeri High School students performed at the Regional Finals for Smokefree Rockquest held at The Turner Centre.

The following awards were won by Kerikeri High School musicians.

Tangata Beats Solo/Duo: 1st place Kosta Silich (Year 13)

Rockquest Band: 1st place Bandwith Riot - Year 13 students Alastor Fairhurst, Freddy Jarman, Jack Laird and Luc Lawler

Rockquest Solo/Duo: 1st place Kosta Silich (Year 13), 2nd place Edmond Ruins - Dayton Milner (Year 13)

Best Song: 'Back Then' by The Amplifiers - Quinn Anderson (Year 8) and Year 9 students Maks Gvardijancic, Eelia Lafotanoa, Jarrah Moir and Tyler Patrick

Best Lyrics: 'Oblivious' by Apprehension Engine - Izzy Cannon (Year 12), Teah Hagen (Year 11), Jessica Keil (Year 12) and Sienna Molloy (Year12)

Tech Award: Luc Lawler (Year 13) from Bandwith Riot

Best Vocalist: Natalie Collins (Year 12) from Misconception

Bandwith Riot, Kosta Silich and Dayton Milner now have the opportunity to submit videos of original material to be considered for the National Final.
