Hunter McInnes (Year 12) has been selected to join the prestigious National Youth Pipe Band of New Zealand.
The National Youth Pipe Band brings together the country's most talented young pipers and drummers to perform at the highest level. This will provide Hunter with invaluable experiences, including mentorship and the chance to perform at various venues across New Zealand.
Hunter recently played the bagpipes at the Kerikeri Anzac Day Dawn Service, leading the parade. His performance at our Anzac Day Commemoration on Thursday 1 May made the commemoration all the more stirring.
We look forward to seeing Hunter represent Kerikeri High School and Northland over the next few years.
