Nau mai, haere mai ki te pōwhiri timatanga o te tau 2026
New students and whānau are invited to attend the pōwhiri on Monday 2nd February 2026.
Please assemble in the Boulevard with your student at 8.45am and the pōwhiri will begin at 9.00am.
Ushers will be available in the Carpark and Boulevard for any questions.
Pōwhiri Information
You will enter the Gym with your students, and you will sit together for the duration of the pōwhiri. Kaikōrero (speakers) from Kerikeri Primary School, Riverview School and the Kerikeri High School International students will speak on behalf of all new students.
Year 8 - 12 Students
At the end of the pōwhiri, students and whānau from Years 8 - 12 will be able to leave. Year 8 and 12 students will attend school officially on Tuesday 3 February and Year 9 - 11 students will attend school officially on Wednesday 4 February.
Year 7
At the end of the pōwhiri, the Year 7 Dean Mrs Clarke will wait with you briefly in the Gym to allow time for Staff and Year 13 students to assemble in the Boulevard to help direct Year 7 students to their Form Classes.
Whānau are welcome to stay for the 15-minute Formtime where the Form Teacher will introduce themselves. At the end of this Formtime, whānau will be asked to leave so that our Year 7s can start their Orientation Programme.
