Upgrade Current Devices - Start Here

iPadAt the end of Term 1, 2021 the School wifi was upgraded to work with a new firewall being installed in the April school holidays. The 'KKHS_BYOD' wifi was switched off as part of this work. All staff and students need to reconfigure their personal devices to connect to the new 'KKHS_Mahi' wifi to keep their internet access. This can be done immediately.

Staff:

1. Connect to 'KKHS_Mahi'.
Instructions: Apple iPhone or iPad, Apple Mac, Android, Chromebook or Windows.

2. Forget the 'KKHS_BYOD' wifi.

Students:

1. Connect to 'KKHS_Mahi'.
Instructions: Apple iPhone or iPad, Apple Mac, Android, Chromebook or Windows.

2. Install the N4L Certificate.
Instructions: Apple iPhone or iPad, Apple Mac, Android 9&10, Android 11, Chromebook or Windows.

3. Forget the 'KKHS_BYOD' wifi.

Phone - Devices running VPN software are not supported.
- Devices running parental control apps such as Family Zone may encounter problems but there are workarounds.
- The N4L certificate is to allow internet traffic inspection at the School's firewall which in turn enables content filtering. Access to secure websites, which includes most common websites, is not possible without it.

Help with setting up devices is available from the student IT Ninjas in the SMI Computer Room at lunchtime Mondays and Fridays.
